Wine barrel planters – Barrels of wine, with its appearance a natural and rustic charm can be potted attractive. Buy whole wine barrel planters in a hardware store, garden center or warehouse, if you have a fence. Place the barrel sideways to cut with the saw in half in the middle. The upper and lower half of the barrel serves as planters. Four holes drilled at least 1/2 inch (1.3 centimeters) to drain at the bottom of each half barrel.
Make sure at least one hole is near the center of the base of the wine barrel planters, which probably makes it a little spill when the container is filled with soil. Place gravel or small stones into the barrel to fill 2 inches (5 centimeters) from the bottom. This will help the soil drain better.
